Gabrielle Hooks is a marketing and content professional with a passion for helping small businesses grow in competitive environments. Since beginning her entrepreneurial journey at 18, she has launched several online stores in service of queer and trans communities of color, a boutique creative agency, and an online platform to connect Oakland’s LGBTQ community with events, services and support. Her experience working as a queer woman of color for top Silicon Valley companies, small businesses, and fast-paced creative agencies provides her with a social justice-centered lens through which to view entrepreneurship, and fuels her desire to support the creation of businesses owned by people of color.

Gabrielle received her Bachelor’s degree in Advertising from San Jose State University.
