Create Good Jobs Class – Uptima Business Bootcamp

Overview

In our Create Good Jobs class, you will learn how to create a hiring plan, and recruit, hire, train, and retain workers in your business. This class is 6-weeks long and is well suited for small business owners and startup founders who are operating a business and ready to hire their first or next employee.

Hiring Process	Learn the difference between an employee and an independent contractor Gain an understanding of regulations and best practices in hiring Create a standard employee offer package for your hire(s)
Prepare Employees for Success	Gain an understanding of the learning curve and best practices in employee training Learn how to do on-the-job training – a technique the works and you will never forget Create an onboarding plan and employee training manual
Protecting Company Culture	Learn how to keep your values and culture as you grow Gain an understanding of the difference between policy and practice and the importance of setting guidelines from the beginning Create an employee handbook

Prerequisites

Business must have sufficient revenue or financing to support the first or next employee.

Average time commitment for our Create Good Jobs class is 8-10 hours / week dedicated to preparing you for your first or next hire, and includes the following weekly activities:

Our Create Good Jobs Class class is offered at the following locations.

How Much It Costs

The cost of our Create Good Jobs Class consists of a course fee of $600.

We charge a $25 deposit to reserve your space in the class. This deposit is credited against the payment of your course fee, where applicable.

Financial Assistance

Because we believe in entrepreneurship as a means to close the racial wealth gap, we offer financial assistance programs for entrepreneurs of color.

For entrepreneurs of color, we offer financial assistance covering up to 100% of your course fee and payment plans, based on your household income and the number of people in your household.
