Shani Ealey

Shani Ealey is a writer, visual artist, educator, and content creator with over 7 years of experience providing communications support to social and racial justice organizations. Shani is the creator of What the Spirit Says a zine series exploring the impacts of toxic workplace dynamics on Black and Brown and QTPOC communities and the ways we come into imagining and building new paths forward. She feels most drawn to collaborations that center healing and seek to transform intergenerational patterns of harm and neglect. In her spare time, Shani loves wandering through the redwood forests, sketching to the sounds of Yemi Alade, and skating along the Bay Area waters.
Shani holds a B.A in Journalism from San Francisco State University and a M.A in African American Studies from Columbia University.
