A San Francisco native, Cairo Person is the Co-Founder of We Re-Member, a non-profit that provides education about the Middle Passage and the residual effects of chattel slavery. She is also a Voice Over Artist. Cairo began her career as a reporter and associate producer but decided to go into business for herself focused on combining her two passions: storytelling and community-based work.

Cairo holds a B.A. in both Broadcast Journalism and African American Studies. She also participated in Uptima’s SF Freelance course in 2019.
